12 Volt DC 7W Cold Cathode with ‘ES’ and ‘BC’ Lamp Fitting options.

Cold Cathode (CCFL) lamps do not have a fillament to fail. The lamp is powered by a high voltage inverter which works without the customary ‘fillaments’ asociated with regular fluorescent lamps.

The lifetime rating for CCFL lamps is around 15,000 hours.

All above Lamps are rated 4200˚K (A Bright White Colour) for maximum light output.

Ideal lamps for all manner of applications where quality illumination is required using a 12V DC power supply.

We have successfully employed the above lamps in a full household installation using a variety of lamps to cover almost all regular domestic lighting requirements. All circuits were professionally installed as follows: Wall sockets in all rooms using modern ‘round pin’ plug & sockets for use with table lamps and standard lamps as well (as a variety of other 12V equipment). Circuits were also installed in ceilings as main lighting, using some of the ‘new breed’ CCFL 4 & 5 Watt ‘MR16’ and ‘GU10’** in the Bathrooms and Kitchens.  The 4/5W MR16 & GU10 lamps are approximately equivalent to a regular 20W Halogen bulb – perhaps a little brighter, particularly for the 4200˚K versions.

CCFL lamps take around 1 minute to reach full operating light output.
