12V DC Compact fluorescent, high power 50W and 85W lamps (CFL).

Two great lamp options for some serious lighting power using a 12v DC power supply. 50watt and 85watt CFL lamps for users requiring super bright, high efficiency, low voltage lighting.

These lamps are a great solution for application requiring powerful lighting such as: workshops, marine and ‘off grid’ solar powered homes or remote locations such as farm buildings, barns and stables.

Lamps are available in ‘ES’ – Edison Screw base fitting only. Sorry, not available in ‘B22’ base fitting.

SAFETY 1^ST...

Please ensure the correct rating of cabling is used throughout when installing high power lamps in DC circuits. Long outdoor cable runs may require high grade, high amperage cables in order to prevent excessive voltage loss, especially when using multiple lamps on the same cable.

DC lighting circuits should be fitted with a suitably rated safety fuse in order to prevent fire in the event of short circuits.

Use of a proprietary lamp fittings are recommended wherever possible to protect and prevent the ingress of flying insects, spiders and damp where lamps may be exposed.

All lamps are equipped with ventilation slots in the base which allow heat to dissipate during normal operation; these must not be covered.

Note:

12v ‘AC’ transformers or any other kind of transformer which does not produce pure DC power must not be used. If using a DC regulated transformer, please ensure that it has enough power reserve for your application.

For any remote application, we recommend the use of Lead Acid or other quality rechargeable batteries and using a charger or solar ‘PV’ panel & regulator to replenish power as necessary.
